Andrew Rymer

Andy is an Investment Director at Equitix with over 27 years’ experience working on major infrastructure projects. Since joining Equitix in January 2008, Andy has successfully led numerous bids in the UK and Irish greenfield PFI/PPP market. Andy was responsible for the Irish Community Nursing (CNU) project, which is due to achieve FC H1 2022, and the Irish Social Housing Bundle 2 Project which was handed over into operations in H2 2021 where Andy sits on the SPV board. Other successes include winning and closing the Gwynt-y-Mor and Humber Gateway Offshore wind transmission (OFTOs), Inverness College and Brunswick Social Housing. Andy was Development manager on NHS Lanarkshire’s Primary Care and Cambridgeshire BSF, successfully developing both projects from bidding to Preferred Bidder and achieving Financial Close. Andy was also SPV board Director on our Manchester and Nottingham LIFT Co’s. Previously at Laing O’Rourke, he was Project Leader, responsible for the delivery of a number of projects based at Heathrow T5 & T3, and Ascot Racecourse. Andy also worked for Norwest Holst (Vinci) in the UK, and before that worked in Hong Kong. He has a BEng (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer (MICE).
